The transport capacity of the water for the removal of particles from the tank bottom (excrement and uneaten food-pellets) can easily be controlled by varying the impulse force from the inflowing water. The intensity of water exchange (water replacement) at different places in the tank can be optimized by using proper inlet arrangements.
