The planktonic foraminiferal assemblages are different in the Flores Basin and the Lombok and Savu Basins, and the distribution of the most abundant species is discussed. In the Flores Basin <i>Neogloboquadrina dutertrei</i> is dominant followed by <i>Globorotalia menardii, Pulleniatina obliquiloculata s.l. , Hastigerina siphonifera</i> and <i>Globigerina bulloides</i>. The Lombok and Savu Basins are characterized by the dominant species <i>Globorotalia menardii</i>, which is associated with <i>Pulleniatina obliquiloculata, Globigerinoides ruber</i> and <i>Globorotalia tumida</i>.
