Abstract

During nightfishing in August and September 1988 along the eastern jetty of the port of Zeebrugge, two species of shrimps, probably new for the Belgian fauna, were found: Thoralus cranchii (LEACH, 1817) and Processa edulis (RISSO, 1816). Also, for the first time in Belgium, Pandalina brevirostris (RATHKE, 1843) was taken in the intertidal zone.

Tijdens nachtvangsten, uitgevoerd in de maanden augustus en september 1988 langs de oostelijke dam van de buitenhaven van Zeebrugge (grondgebied Heist), verzamelde de auteur twee garnaalsoorten die vermoedelijk nieuw zijn voor de Belgische fauna: Thoralus cranchii (LEACH, 1817) en Processa edulis (RISSO, 1816). Een derde soort: Pandalina brevirostris (RATHKE, 1837) kon voor het eerst in België in de getijdenzone vastgesteld worden.
