The genera <i>Corophium</i> Latr., <i>Paracorophium</i> Stebbing, <i>Ericthonius</i> M.-Edw., and <i>Camacho</i> Stebbing are represented by a total of seven species. <i>Corophium sextonae</i> Crawford. <i>Corophium acutum</i> Chevieux, <i>Corophium acherusicum</i> Costa and <i>Ericthonius pugnax</i> Dana are either new records for New Zealand or have previously been described under other names. A new species, <i>Paracorophium lucasi</i>, is described from the freshwater Lake Rotoiti.
