During these projects several new mound structures were identified and proposed for further investigation. The Polarstern - Victor ARK-XIX/3a cruise from the 2-20<sup>th</sup> June 2003 focussed on the biology of cold-water corals and the evolution of associated giant, deep-water carbonate mounds in the Porcupine Seabight an the south-eastern part of the Rockall Trough.
