Via schepen - als aanhechting op de romp of in het ballastwater - werd deze soort geïntroduceerd in Europa. De eerste waarneming in België vond plaats in de Zeeschelde in oktober 1996. Deze vlokreeft komt enkel voor in het brakke water van estuaria. Opmerkelijk is dat de soort in de Westerschelde bijna uitsluitend voorkomt in associatie met hydroïdpoliepjes, een habitat dat nauwelijks door inheemse vlokreeften.","BibLvlCode":"MS","StandardTitle":"Estuariene poliepvlo - <i>Incisocalliope aestuarius</i>.
