The new species differ front related species of the genus <i>Pycnogonum</i> from the northern Pacific by two rounded knobs: on the probosis and on the middle part of the first trunc segment. A key to identifying males of the <i>Pycnogonum (Pycnogonum)</i> group from the northwestern Pacific Ocean is given.
