In this locality and at Pondrôme, <i>Sociophyllum elongatum</i> (SCHLÜTER, 1881), <i>S. torosum</i> (SCHLÜTER, 1881) and <i>S. birenheidi</i> n. sp. occur in the same level. Four of these taxa characterize the Loogh Formation, at the base of the Givetian from the Eifel Hills in Germany.
