The ostracods belong to the \"Eifeler Okotyp\" and four associations are recognized which characterize successively a quiet open marine environment on the outer ramp (ecozone III), a shallow marine environment with increasing of water turbulence on the mid- and inner ramps (ecozone II), an open lagoonal environment on the upper part of the inner ramp (ecozone I) and a restricted lagoonal environment on the platform (ecozone 0). This sequence is the same as in the Resteigne quarry (50 km E of Couvin) studied by CASIER & PREAT (1990 & 1991) and is closely related to environmental variations. The principal ecological factors controlling the composition of the ostracod fauna are water movement in the Hanonet Formation (Eifelian), and water movement and salinity in the Trois- Fontaines Formation (Givetian). Two new species are erected: <i>Condracypris? covinumensis</i> n. sp. et <i>Microcheilinella? hanonetensis</i> n. sp.","AbstractOtherLang":"Environ soixante-dix espèces d'Ostracodes ont été mises en évidence dans le sommet de la Formation d'Hanonet (Eifelien Supérieur) et dans la base de la Formation de Trois-Fontaines (Givetien Inférieur) de la carrière \"La Couvinoise\", à Couvin (bord sud du Bassin de Dinant, Belgique). Elles appartiennent à l'\"Eifeler Okotyp\" et quatre associations sont reconnues; elles caractérisent successivement, des milieux marins francs et calmes sur la rampe externe (écozone III), des milieux marins francs à agitation croissante sur les rampes médianes et internes (écozone II), des milieux lagunaires ouverts au sommet de la rampe interne (écozone I), et finalement des milieux lagunaires restreints sur la plate-forme (écozone 0). Cette succession est la même que celle observée par CASIER & PREAT (1990 et 1991) dans la carrière de Resteigne située 50km plus à l'est et elle est liée à l'évolution de l'environnement. Les principaux facteurs influençant la distribution des Ostracodes sont l'agitation des eaux dans la Formation d'Hanonet (Eifelien) et l'agitation des eaux et les variations de salinité dans la Formation de Trois-Fontaines (Givetien).
