They were recently collected in four localities (Mogadiscio, Gesira, Sar Uanle, Bender Mtoni), in different ecological situations. Two species of Ophiuroids (Amphioplus somaliensis and A. minutus) are described as new. Several others of each class require comments on their variability, taxonomy and distribution.
