II. Gnathostomulida. Four new species out of the mesopsammon of the Galapagos Archipelago are described. The animals were found mostly in sublittoral sediments with more or less muddy character. Onychognathia bradearotunda nov. spec, differs from the type species O. filifera Riedl on account of the basal plate and the lenght of the jaws. By reason of the type of jaws, Gnathostomula costata nov. spec, is related to G. paradoxa Ax, G. nigrostoma Riedl and G. armata Riedl. Corculognathia apennata nov. gen. nov. spec, has a jugum as all the representatives of the family Gnathostomulidae. The new species differs from the genera Gnathostomula Ax and Semaeognathia Riedl because of the lack of lateral wings and the toothed central part of the basal plate, the loss of a third horizontal row of teeth at the jaws, and the absence of a cuticular passage-way in the bursa mouthpiece. Austrognatharia atradava nov. spec, the longest species of this genus, has a very small basal plate. The subterminal teeth of the jaws are missing. With the species of the Galapagos Archipelago, a close relationship is shown between the Gnathostomulida of the Pacific and the Atlantic.
