They range from sponge spicule mudstones to crinoidal, coral rudstones. Water agitation and light supply normally control the bioherm growth, but three environments do not follow the rule. They are characterized by the abundance of microorganic mats, now in form of irregular plurimetric fenestrae. cemented by radiaxial calcite. They are more and more abundant towards the centre of the buildup. Four lateral microfacies are studied. The bioherm geometry is discussed, and a weak sedimentary slope is proposed.","AbstractOtherLang":"L'étude sédimentologique du bioherme de marbre rouge frasnien («F2j») de Tapoumont (massif de Philippeville, Belgique), daté par les Rugueux massifs, montre l'existence de douze microfaciès. De leur classement effectué par recensement des transitions graduelles, se dégage une distribution linéaire de faciès, depuis des mudstones à spicules d'Eponges jusqu'à des rudstones à Crinoïdes et Coraux. L'interprétation de cette séquence permet d'appréhender les facteurs du milieu à l'origine de l'évolution du bioherme, les principaux étant l'agitation de l'eau et l'énergie lumineuse disponible. Echappent à cette logique trois microfaciès caractérisés par l'abondance de tapis microorganiques, actuellement matérialisés par des fenestrae irrégulières, d'extension latérale plurimétrique, et cimentées par de la calcite radiaxiale. L'importance quantitative de ces tapis microorganiques augmente latéralement vers le centre de l'édifice. Quatre microfaciès latéraux au bioherme et contemporains de son édification sont décrits.
