Five species were reported previously in the area. Four species are new records for Mediterranean Sea: Palposyllis prosostoma Hartmann-Schröder, 1977; Paraehlersia weissmaniodes (Augener,1913); Streptosyllis compoyi Brito, Núñez and San Martín, 2000; and Exogone africana Hartmann-Schröder, 1974); P. weissmaniodes and Exogone africana are two widely distributed Indo-Pacific species, so they could be considered as Lessepsian migrants.
