At present, 13 species are known from this region, five of which are new: <I>P. australiensis, P. griggae, P. hypersalinus, P. inflexus</I> and <I>P. occidentalus</I>. These 13 species are representative of four species groups. Several of these species have been previously misidentified and are herein synonymized with the new species.
