Two codes for the correction of the adjacency effect were used: SIMEC from VITO and ICOL from ADRINORD. The evaluation of these two codes is performed by comparison to in situ measurements collected off shore of Oostende. The results confirm the sensitivity of the MERIS L2 to the adjacency effect at least for the traditional scheme. The second algorithm based on a neural network which analyses all the reflectance spectrum appears to be robust to the adjacency effect and, at least on the 8 matchups were analyzed, quite accurate in the retrieval of the water reflectance.","AbstractOtherLang":"Ce rapport décrit l’exercice de validation des correction d’environnement conduit sur MERIS grace à la base de données du MUMM. Deux codes ont été utilisés : SIMEC du VITO et ICOLO d’ADRINORD. L’évaluation de ces deux codes est conduite par comparaison aux mesures in situ collectées au large d’Ostende. Les résultats confirment la sensibilité des produits standards L2 de MERIS aux effets d’environnement. Le second algorithme MERIS utilise un réseau de neurones qui analyse tout le spectre de réflectance semble plus robuste aux effets d’environnement et sur le jeu de huit journées analysé assez précis quand à la restitution des réflectances de l’eau.
