We measured successively: the temperature, the pH, the alkaline, the chlorine, the dissolved oxygen, the concentration of phosphates and nitrates. The water of the Ostend port passes the scale a-mesohaline to polyhaline. The sampling of the phytoplankton has been worked out one time or several times in a month. The Bacillariophyceae play an important role, the Dinophyceae are relatively rare, as the Chryosophyceae, and the Chlorophyceae are meeting during the whole year, with the exception of January, February and April, in little quantities, except for November. Dominant species are: <i>Coscinodiscus continues, Biddulphia alternans, Coscinodiscus subtilis, Biddulphia regia, Asterionella japonica, Rhizosolenia setigaria, Biddulphia regia, Actinoptychus undulatus, Biddulphia Favus, Melosira Borreri</i>. The are three species recorded during eight moths of the year: <i>Scendesmus quadraicauda, Biddulphia rhombos, Biddulphia sinensis</i>.","AbstractOtherLang":"Dans ce travail on a étudié quelques facteurs écologiques et la composition floristique du phytoplancton (microplancton) durant la période 1953-1954. On a mesuré successivement : la température, le pH, l'alcalinité, la chlorinité, l'oxygene dissous, la concentration en phosphates et en nitrates. L'eau du port d'Ostende parcourt la gamme alfa-mésohaline à poly- haline. L' échantillonage du phytoplancton a été effectué une ou plusieurs fois par mois. Les <i>Bacillariophyceae</i> jouent un rôle prépondérant, les <i>Dinophyceae</i> sont relativement rares. de même que les <i>Chrysophyceae</i>, et les <i>Chlorophyceae</i> se rencontrent durant toute l'année a l'exception des mois de janvier, février et avril, en petites quantités, sauf en novembre.
