The latter requires the correction for the Fresnel reflection of the sky dome by the water surface. Currently, this correction is achieved with a measurement of the sky radiance and the use of a <i>Fresnel</i> reflection coefficient, ignoring the polarisation processes. Our objective is to illustrate the bias induced by neglecting the polarisation in the reflected sky dome by the sea surface.
