Pig manure and tapioca were used to supplement the natural food of <i>Artemia</i> in the ponds at a fixed C/N ratio 10. Addition of pig manure and tapioca at a standard rate (0.210 kg ww and 0.319 kg dw pond<sup>-1</sup> day<sup>-1</sup>, respectively) was used as control. Increasing amounts of supplementation (110, 115, and 120 % of the control) were applied in three treatments. During the 6-week culture period, extra C and N supplementation resulted in a better growth, faster maturation, and higher fecundity of <i>Artemia</i> when compared to the control. Total cyst production was the highest (9.96 kg ww ha<sup>-1</sup>) at the supplementation level 10 % higher than the control; the lowest cyst production was found in the control (2.84 kg ww ha<sup>-1</sup>).
