Of these Comatella maculata, Ophiothrix uigelandi and Phyllacanthus imperialis are new to Andamans, Dactylosaster cylindricus is new to Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Himerometra magnipinna Mespilia globulus and Heterocentrotus trigonarius are new to India. The others are new to either or both of the Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park, South Andaman and Rani Jhansi Marine National Park, Ritchie's Archipelago.
