The exploitation of the Mollusca is examined from the industrial and alimentary point of view as well as from that of collectors. The Author quotes the main national, regional and provincial laws concerning these animals. Finally he invites all the Italian Malacologists to point out the possible species of Italian malacofauna for which a trade regulation is necessary and desirable in order to grant a \"future\" to the Mollusca and their habitat.
