Naast de fysische parameters temperatuur, conductiviteit en turbiditeit, worden hier ook fysicochemische parameters opgemeten: concentratie opgelost zuurstof (DO), zuurstofverzadiging (DO%), zuurtegraad (in pH en mV) en oxidatie-reductiepotentiaal (ORP). De methodologie voor de validatie van de fysische parameters wordt beschreven in Ferket et al. (2014), de procedure voor het verzamelen van de ijkingsreeksen en de eigenlijke validatie van de fysicochemische parameters worden in dit rapport uiteengezet. Alvorens de validatie te beginnen worden de gegevens gebundeld die door de VMM gemeten worden in de buurt van de HIC meetposten waar YSI-toestellen worden gebruikt. Deze dienen dan als referentiemetingen voor de verdere validatie van de continue tijdreeksen. Alle reeksen worden als goed gevalideerd, behalve voor geschatte of onrealistische waarden.
