During osmotic stresses, there is a modification in <sup>14</sup>CO production from glucose-6-<sup>14</sup>C as well as in the ratio C<sub>1</sub>/C<sub>6</sub> while <sup>14</sup>CO<sub>2</sub> production from glucose-1-<sup>14</sup>C does not change significantly.
