High wave obliqueness is expected to reduce significantly the wave forces when compared with the perpendicular wave attack.<p>This study aims to compare the results from the experimental tests with formulas from literature (when available). Although the experimental setup is not representative for a specific prototype layout, it was defined in such a way that it covers possible geometrical and hydraulic conditions typical for the Flemish harbors.<p>The present report represents the second part of the whole study conducted on very oblique wave attack on quay walls and sea dykes, for which a report on wave overtopping results has been published before. The results indicate that for large wave obliqueness, the reduction on the wave forces is approximately 50% with respect to perpendicular wave attack.
