French Polynesia. The genus Daphnellopsis Schepman, 1913 and Latiaxis sibogae Schepman, 1911 are transferred respectively from the Turridae and from the Coralliophilidae to the Muricidae; Pterynotus cerinamarumai Kosuge, 1980 is synonymized with Chicoreus orchidiflorus (Shikama, 1973) and Siratus hirasei Shikama, 1973 with Chicoreus (Siratus) pliciferoides Kuroda, 1942. The following new species are described: Poirieria (Paziella) vaubanensis, Poirieria (Paziella) acerapex and Poirieria (Paziella) spinacutus (all from New Caledonia, 250-550 m), Trophon (Trophonopsis) minirotundus (New Caledonia, 250-350 m), Nipponotrophon regina (Philippines, 680-970 m), Typhis (Typhina) virginiae and Siphonochelus (Laevityphis) tillierae (New Caledonia, 250-430 m).
