Slugs are the brilliant indicator of climate change and also a good source of protein. The present investigation attempts to evaluate the population status, nutritive values and threats to the marine pulmonate <i>Peronia verruculata</i> from five stations of Gulf of Khambhat. It was found to consume by the local people especially from June to October when it shows great populations in upper intertidal area.
