Special attention is paid to the interface between stakeholders and systems. The choices that need to be made in the future to guarantee a successful and efficient system operation in the presence of both AC and DC systems are indicated. The principles discussed in the chapter are not necessarily only valid for power systems with a HVDC grid, but are also valid for systems with a significant amount of point-to-point HVDC links embedded in the system.
