Ninety-three morphospecies are recognized among the material, including juvenile and incomplete specimens, and identified to at least generic level. Seventy are identified as previously named species, and 23 are considered to be probably undescribed. Fifty-one species (55%) are recorded for the first time in the Ogasawara Islands, including 22 (24%) new to Japanese waters. Twelve species (13%) are considered to be endemic to this area, and four are considered possibly endemic.
