These four species each show distinct distribution ranges. <i>Thelepus cincinnatus</i> has notopodia on almost all segments and numerous eyespots; it inhabits the high boreal and arctic shelf and the North Atlantic slope, and probably also occurs on the North Pacific shelf and slope.
