Because of a new methodology and program environment, the first four chapters will deal with the execution and analysis of free running tests, including the execution of test runs. The second part of the report discusses the zigzag tests carried out with the KCS according to the SIMMAN program. Each zigzag test has been repeated at least 15 times in random order to investigate the repeatability. A comparison has been made with simulation runs, which revealed some flaws in the prediction of the rudder forces.
