Dit boek toont het Wad zoals het nog nooit eerder in beeld is gebracht, dankzij speciale camera’s en de nieuwste technieken. Ruben Smit brengt een ode aan het Wad, door dit werelderfgoed tot kunstvorm te verheffen. Dr. Ir. Ruben Smit is een gepassioneerd ecoloog en fotograaf. Vanaf 2003 is hij professioneel natuurfotograaf en filmer. Hij won diverse prestigieuze internationale fotoprijzen. Als filmregisseur van natuurfilms maakte hij zijn debuut met De Nieuwe Wildernis (2013) en de gelijknamige tv-serie bij de VARA.
