Underwater surveys at a depth of 15–30 m by a scuba diver revealed that <i>P. secundus</i> lived on the benthic hydroids <i>Aglaophenia whiteleggei</i> Bale, 1888, <i>Dentitheca hertwigi</i> (Stechow, 1909), <i>Gymnangium hians</i> (Busk, 1852), <i>Plumularia habereri</i> Stechow, 1909, and several unidentified hydroid species. This finding represents the first evidence of <i>P. secundus</i> associated with benthic organisms.
