A number of reports of <i>Phaonia</i> species are also listed, in addition to recently published records of the genus. The genus <i>Eginia</i> and its only species <i>Eginia ocypterata</i> (Meigen, 1826), six species of the genus <i>Helina</i> and one species of <i>Phaonia</i> are recorded for the first time for Bulgaria. The total number of species of the subfamily Phaoniinae reported from the country now reaches 88 species.
