The information is taken from an article published in 1911 in Recueil de L'Institut Botanique Leo Errera, a periodical of the University of Brussels. Schouteden-Wery replied to the Royal Society for Medical and Natural Sciences of Brussels (Societe Royale des Sciences Medicales et Naturelles de Bruxelles) about the geological, climatic, hydrological and other factors that regulate the geographical distribution of species.
