The species were studied by light microscopy and scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and were identified by vegetative and reproductive features and the morphology of the spore germination discs. The four genera <i>Titanoderma</i> Nägeli, <i>Hydrolithon</i> Foslie, <i>Pneophyllum</i> Kützing and <i>Melobesia</i> Lamouroux were represented. <i>Hydrolithon cruciatum</i> (Bressan) Y. Chamberlain and <i>Pneophyllum myriocarpum</i> (P. & H. Crouan) Y. Chamberlain were new records for Norway. <i>Titanoderma pustulatum</i> (Lamouroux) Nägeli was represented by the two varieties: var. <i>pustulatum</i> (Lamouroux) Nägeli and var. <i>confine</i> (P. & H. Crouan) Y.
