Five species are recorded of which two are new, <i>G. impolitus</i> n. sp. and <i>G. lenis</i> n. sp. <i>Gemixystus stimuleus</i> (Hedley, 1912) is recorded for the first time in New Caledonia. <i>Gemixystus transkeiensis</i> (Houart, 1987) is re-transferred from <i>Vaughtia</i> to <i>Gemixystus</i>.
