Scott, 1892 are transferred to the new genus, viz. <i>P. stephoides</i> Thompson, 1895 and <i>P. muranoi</i> Ohtsuka, 1992. A new species from the Philippines is assigned to <i>Stygocyclopia</i> Jaume & Boxshall, 1995, and the amazing discovery of <i>S. balearica</i> Jaume & Boxshall, 1995 in anchialine environments on Lanzarote is reported and discussed. The swimming habits of the latter taxon are briefly described. The diagnoses of <i>Pseudocyclopia, Stygocyclopia</i>, and of the family Pseudocyclopiidae T.
