No species of the genus <i>Berthella</i> de Blainville, 1824 is known from paleogene fauna of the Paris Basin, whereas one species is known from the Chattian (Upper Oligocene) of Aquitaine Basin. Very little, mostly questionable information is known on fossil species of the genus.
