Seven species already established are revised: <i>A. castanea</i> (Sowerby, 1830), <i>A. boschi</i> Kilburn, 1980, <i>A. djiboutina</i> (Jousseaume, 1894), <i>A.sticta</i> Kilburn, 1981, <i>A. ovalis</i> (Sowerby, 1859), <i>A. inornata</i> (E.A. Smith, 1879) and <i>A. exigua</i> (Sowerby, 1830). Four new species are described : <i>A. guttata</i> sp. nov., <i>A. pruinosa</i> sp. nov., <i>A. sultana</i> sp. nov. and <i>A. undulata</i> sp. nov. The variability of the shell and the range of the species are analyzed, and a comparison with the close species made.
