Title

Strutture per le conservazione del corallo rosso in siti superficiali della Sardegna

Abstract

A new artificial modular structure allowing the hosts of up 80 colonies of red coral (Corallium rubrum L.) was designed and constructed. Sixty apices of deep water red coral colonies has been sampled and left in aquarium for about 5 months, showing 100% survival ratio. Thirty two colonies have been successfully fixed on the module in a site at 27 m depth.
