The items originate from soil samples through means of a glass tube with a diameter of 6 cm\u00b2; it concerns a soil rich in detritus. The water is about 20 cm in depth at the location of the sample taking. Samples were taken over the period from August 1968 until May 1969. The salinity is susceptible to a relatively wide variation. Usually values between 12 promille S and 18 promille S were measured. The maximum measured was 19.03 promille S on 16\/12\/68 and the minimum measured 8.41 promille S on 5\/5\/69. According to the system of Venece, 1958, the water can be trade marked mesohalian, eventhough the maximum exceeds the limits applying for this system (5 to 18 promille S). The pH varies from 7.6 to 8.6.","AbstractOtherLang":"Tijdens het onderzoek van een ondiepe brakwaterplas, het Dievengat, gelegen op het grondgebied van de gemeente Knokke, werden een aantal copepoden verzameld, waaronder drie die tot nog toe niet in Belgi\u00eb werden aangetroffen. De exemplaren zijn afkomstig uit bodemmonsters met behulp van een glazen buis met een doorsnede van 6 cm\u00b2 genomen; het gaat hier om een detritusrijke bodem. Het water is op de plaats van monstername ongeveer 20 cm diep. Monsters werden genomen van augustus 1968 tot mei 1969. De saliniteit is aan betrekkelijke grote schommelingen onderhevig. Meestal werden waarden tussen 12 promille S en 18 promille S gemeten. Maximaal werd 19.03 promille S op 16\/12\/68 en minimaal 8.41 promille S op 5\/5\/69 gemeten. Het water kan dus als mesohalien, volgens het systeem van Veneti\u00eb, 1958, bestempeld worden, al valt het maximum buiten de grenzen die voor dit systeem gelden (5 tot 18 promille S).
