Material examined was collected by SCUBA diving, from rhodolith beds, 12 meters deep, at the Fernando de Noronha Archipelago, off the northeastern Brazilian coast. The new Brazilian species described here can be diagnosed by a unique combination of character states present in other species of the genus.
