The presentoccurrences of <i>Pseuderythrops gracilis</i> Coifmann, 1936, from the Sulu and Timor Seas extend the geographical distribution range of this species considerably eastward. A new species, <i>Pseuderythrops megalops</i>, the second species of this genus, is described. The new species is distinguished from <i>P. gracilis</i> by the large eyes, theshape of the antennal scale, the structures of the third thoracic endopod and fourth male pleopod, and the number of lateral spines on the telson.
