Struktur komunitas Uca spp. (crustacea: decapoda: ocypodidae) di kawasan hutan mangrove desa Banyuurip, Kabupaten Gresik

Abstract

The mangrove ecosystem is a complex ecosystem that has ecological functions as a place for spawning, foraging for food, a nursery for various types of larvae and a place for protecting biota, including Uca spp. crabs. Uca spp. crab one of the Keystone Species that acts as a decomposer, eaters of deposits, determines the presence of seabirds, and determines the arable of substrate nutrients. The purpose of this study was to determine the community structure of Uca spp. includes species composition, diversity, equitability, and dominance, as well as the correlation of aquatic environmental and substrates conditions in the Mangrove Forest Area of Banyuurip Village, Gresik Regency. This study used purposive sampling method and sampling of crabs was carried out at 3 stations using a 50 m long belt transect, with a distance between transects of ± 300 m, and a plot measuring 2 x 2 m with 25 plots. The data were analyzed with the Ms. Excel 2019 and PAST 3.20 program. The results showed 5 species, namely Uca bellator, Uca coarctata, Uca dussumieri, Uca vocans and Uca triangularis. The cumulative diversity (H') value of 1.065 was categorized as moderate, the cumulative equitability (E) of 0.682 was categorized as moderate, and the cumulative dominance (C) value of 0.448 was categorized as low. Community status Uca spp. crab categorized as moderate stability. The results of the correlation analysis between Uca spp. with the parameters of the aquatic environment and the substrate obtained the highest correlation to the community structure of the Uca spp. crab are temperature and C-organic with Uca dussumieri, pH and salinity correlated most closely with Uca Bellator.
