These cities were chosen because, as the three largest cities in SNE, they formerly experienced the highest levels of prosperity in the region but are now facing some of the highest levels of poverty. With each city, we will consider how emerging holistic concepts of resilience are being applied to address this climate adaptation challenge. Located in the three states that define SNE—Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Massachusetts—we will gain insights about emerging state resilience initiatives.
