Title
Ichthyoplankton of the neritic zone of the Eastern Part of the Sea of Okhotsk in June 2018
Abstract
Based on the materials of the survey carried out 05–09.06.2018 near the western coast of Kamchatka over depths of 5–25 m, the species composition of ichthyoplankton is described. Eggs and larvae of eight fish species belonging to four orders and five families have been identified. In terms of numbers, eggs of Limanda proboscidea, Platichthys stellatus and Glyptocephalus stelleri were dominant. More than half of all eggs accounted for the Limanda proboscidea, their density was maximum—246 pcs./m2. Densities of Patichthys stellatus and Glyptocephalus stelleri eggs in places of accumulation were 105 pcs./m2. Larvae of Mallotus villosus, Gadus chalcogrammus, Podothecus accipenserinus, Liparis latifrons, Hippoglossoides elassodon and Limanda proboscidea were singular.
