- Abstract
- Diplosoma listerianum is a tunicate whose area of origin is unknown (i.e. cryptogenic species). In Europe, the species occurs widespread in Britain, along the west coast of Europe and the Mediterranean coast. In Belgium, the species is regularly found on pontoons in the marina of Zeebrugge since the 12th of September 2002. The colonies are relatively fragile and have a translucent and gelatinous appearance. D. listerianum is found from the low-water mark to a depth of about 80 metres.
