It is among those that we identify as fine to medium sand populations specific for <i>Ophelia borealis</i>. This population consists of islots separated by great depressions. In the North Sea it tends to form a vast complex that covers the region. The study of the four sandy banks, chosen in a way to obtain a double gradient North-South and broad dimension with a licence to define the principle characteristics of this population.","AbstractOtherLang":"Les études de prospection de la partie française de la mer du Nord et de la Manche orientale montrent l'existence de 5 unités biosédimentaires. C'est parmi celles-ci que l'on identifie le peuplement des sables fins à moyens propres à <i>Ophelia borealis</i>. Ce peuplement constitue des îlots séparés par de grandes dépressions. Il tend, en mer du Nord, à former un vaste complexe qui recouvre la région.
