A dead individual of adult female was collected and identified to species based on morphological features and skull measurements (FA: 41.28 mm, GTL: 17.52 mm, CCL: 15.58 mm). This finding represents the first record from the type locality one and a half century after Blyth (1848) first described the species. C. frithii is considered near threaten in the IUCN Red List.
