They are described and illustrated, and their distribution and relationships are discussed. A key to the fauna is given. Most species are referred to the genus <i>Coelorhynchus</i>, in which 3 of the 1O species described are new. New species are also erected in the genera <i>Coryphaenoides</i>, <i>Gadomus</i>, and <i>Nezumia</i>, and a new genus is erected for a species more or less intermediate between <i>Abyssicola</i> and <i>Coelorhynchus</i>. Other genera represented are <i>Bathygadus</i>, <i>Cetonurus</i>, <i>Macrourus</i>, and <i>Trachyrhynchus</i>; <i>Cynomacrurus</i> and <i>Malacocephalus</i> may also be present. The fauna is composed of endemic, southern circumpolar, and Indo-Pacific elements, with the last predominant.
