These are based on specimens collected from New Zealand waters, the Ross Sea (Antarctica), Gulf of Naples, and the Northeast Pacific. Six of the Southwest Pacific Oncaeidae species also occurred in the Gulf of Naples sample, and three of the Southwest Pacific species were found in 15 samples from the Northeast Pacific. Seven of the Southwest Pacific <i>Oncaea</i> species with a prosomal dorsoposterior projection included <i>O. conifera</i> Giesbrecht, 1891, <i>O. furcula</i> Farran, 1936 (here raised to specific status) and three new species (<i>O. derivata, O. quadrata</i>, and <i>O. redacta</i>). <i>Oncaea media</i> Giesbrecht, 1891, plus a new sibling species (<i>O. scottodicarloi</i>), occurred near New Zealand as well as in the Gulf of Naples sample. Males of twospecies (<i>O. curvata</i> and <i>O. prolata</i>) are described. One small (0.42 mm) female copepod, <i>O. lacinia</i> Heron, English & Damkaer, 1984, from the most southerly Southwest Pacific station, is the most abundant oncaeid species known from the Arctic Ocean.
